Puppy Class - Basic Manners & Obedience with Socialization
This ongoing course, appropriate for dogs up to 8 months of age, introduces the foundational skills for general manners and obedience. Each week will cover a general skill topic - 6 weeks in total - on a rotating schedule. Weekly topics include: Attention & Recall, Greeting People Politely , Mouth Manners, Loose Leash Walking, Stationing & Crate Training, Stay & Wait. Each class includes supervised play and socialization.

This ongoing class is custom tailored to your pet and focuses on advancing the foundational skills learned in basic obedience and manners classes to create fluency in the real world. This class also prepares dogs to pass the Canine Good Citizen Evaluation. The class is run on a rolling enrollment schedule, and each week is dedicated to working as a group toward your individual training goals.
Counter Stealing (And Other Scavenging Behaviors) Workshop
This one hour workshop focuses on exercises and games to cultivate impulse control and bite sensitivity in mouthy dogs, to extinguish mouthy behavior and is custom tailored to your dog's needs.. We also focus on behaviors such as stealing objects, counter surfing, and relinquishing objects.
This class is a great way to burn mental and physical energy. We will advance confidence around obstacles, cultivate body awareness and control. This ongoing class is fully customized to your dog's ability level and can prepare your pup to submit for up to an Expert level title. Held outdoors weather permitting, emails regarding meeting location will be sent 24 hours prior to the class session.
For dogs of any age that are highly rambunctious and have trouble focusing on their handler. This 1 hour special workshop will give you tools to cultivate impulse control, engagement and calmness around distractions.
This one hour workshop focuses on advancing your dog's loose leash walking skills through impulse control exercises, and refinement and advancement of focus and engagement on walks and is custom tailored to your dog's needs. Held outdoors weather permitting, with a focus on incorporating real world distractions. Meet at the SABTC facility and walk around town from there!
This ongoing class focuses on the skills necessary to succeed in a therapy environment and pass the Therapy Dogs International Examination including desensitization to petting, sounds, and environments the dog may encounter, alternative greeting behaviors, tricks and interactive behaviors.
Teaching the dog to use their nose to solve puzzles is a great way to burn both mental and physical energy. During this workshop we will introduce the dog to a variety of scent puzzles, in varying environments. This fun filled workshop is great for increasing focus on tasks!
Canine freestyle, is a modern dog sport that is a mixture of obedience training, tricks, and dance that allows for creative interaction between dogs and their owners. This workshop aims to introduce the foundations of shaping and chaining trick behaviors, and creating routines to music. This workshop is a great way to have fun, while exercising with your dog!
This one hour workshop focuses on shaping and building the Go to Crate behavior to help your dog feel comfortable voluntarily entering their crate. Teaching your dog to station can be a great way to send them out of inappropriate situations, such as begging by the dinner table, or jumping at the door. We will discuss ways to make the crate an enjoyable and safe space for your pet.
This one hour workshop focuses on counter conditioning your dog's arousal response to the triggering sounds which occur by the door including; knocking, doorbell, and the door opening. Instead we will teach alternative incompatible behaviors such as settling on a bed.
Interested in teaching your dog to retrieve? Whether for fun or for sport, this workshop is the place to begin. During this one-hour session we will shape the retrieve using successive approximation, the behavior will be broken down into components with an accompanying cue including: Pickup, Hold, Carry, and Drop. We will also discuss the process of increasing criteria over time while chaining components into a conditioned retrieve.
During this one-hour workshop we will discuss the different puzzle style preferences of dogs, increasing difficulty and setting the dog up to succeed while keeping their mind and body active and healthy, and other creative ways to entertain your pup and keep them out of troublesome behavior. You will leave class with some toys to take home to your pet!

For dogs who struggle to stay calm around other dogs. This 6 week course focuses controlled exposure to known triggers to help raise the dog’s reactivity threshold through classical conditioning and positive socialization. We will follow along with the book "Click to Calm" which will be provided to you on week one of the course. When the course is through we will provide a private lesson in which we ensure that the skills learned are applied correctly in the home environment.
